Free items ?? - Guild Wars Forums

As the halloween event started.. i noticed i had 7 weapons and items all customized for me. I have asked people in game and they stated they never received anything like that. Even the items are customized for me. At a merchant they aren't worth anything 0 gold. So I am wondering if any1 else has received anything like this and why.. and what are they for?

Some cd-keys come with bonusitems (depends on the "version" of gw)... but usually they have to be obtained via the /bonusitems emote.

You probably got the "Game of the Year" Edition of Guild Wars, thus giving you some customized weapons.

I will have to see if if my friend was talking about the same thing. I swear she was talking about drops, and I didn't think she had the Special Edition

all these items are blue, max, and customized for me.. i dont remember pickin any of these up from battles, nor trading any collectables in.

recieved physical -2^stance

insightful soul shrieker
req 9 curses
hct death magic 20%
hct blood magic 20%

poisonous nevermore flatbow
req 9 marks
+33% poison duration

ive had factions and prophecies for 4 months now and i dont have nightfall yet..

Those are the items you get for purchasing the Game of the Year Edition of Prophecies.

thnx... but i wonder why it took this long to get those items. and i dont remember typin in any emotes. my boy may have done it but that would be freaky since he is only 2. wouldn't put it past him though. and i assume that they would show up on your primary character since i had factions first and they appeared on my factions character.

No, they can appear on any character. All you do is type /bonusitems and they appear. Then you can use or trash them. If you want, you can even get them again with the same character over and over. It has nothing to do with primary characters.
